DIAGNOSTIC DESCRIPTION
Stems 0.1-0.35 m long, erect to decumbent and then diffuse and rooting at the base. Leaves 7-32 x 2-7 mm, narrowly lanceolate or narrowly oblong to narrowly elliptic to oblong or elliptic (l:b = 2-7), margins and midrib beneath nearly always scabrid-denticulate, rarely smooth. Inflorescence (l)3-c. 16-flowered. Sepals 4-9.5 mm long, lanceolate to narrowly elliptic. Stamens c. 20-32. Styles 1.5-2 mm long. Capsule (5)6-9 x 2.5-3 mm, ovoid-conic or rarely narrowly ovoid.
