Hypericum featured prominently at the recent Radiation's conference hosted by the University of Zurich. Santiago Madriñán gave a talk entitled 'Patterns and processes of Páramo plant diversification' and Nicolai Nürk was co-author of a talk presented by Colin Hughes on 'Comparative montane plant radiations: from the Andes to the Hengduan Mountains'. Both discussed the evolution of Hypericum in the Páramo. Andrea Meseguer presented a poster on diversification rates in Hypericum entitled 'The strategy of the marathon runner: ancestral resilience drove the evolution of the species-rich, age-old genus Hypericum (St John’s wort, Hypericaceae)'. Abstracts for all talks are available from the conference website.
