Dwarf shrub, 0.05–0.25(0.3) m tall or long, glabrous, ascending or procumbent from ± woody branching base, often straggling, not rooting, without or with some short axillary shoots. Stems partially 2-lined to terete, green, eglandular; internodes 3–15 mm, usually exceeding leaves. Leaves sessile or very shortly petiolate, thinly coriaceous, not glaucous, 3–12 × 2.5–6 mm, elliptic or oblanceolate to subcircular, apex rounded, margin markedly undulate-crenulate, base broadly cuneate, with 2–3 pairs of ascending lateral veins; laminar glands pale, punctiform, distal, small; intramarginal glands pale, small, dense to spaced. Inflorescence 1–5(– 25)-flowered, corymbiform, 10–20 mm long, with lateral branches straight, broadly ascending, ‘cymules’ 1-flowered, without flowering branches below; bracts and bracteoles ovate-lanceolate, minutely black-glandular-ciliate. Flowers 12–15 mm in diam., petals erect after flowering; buds globose, rounded. Sepals equal, basally united, not imbricate, 2–3 × 1 mm, ovate-oblong to oblong, rounded to subacute; veins 3, not branching or prominent; margin wholly shortly black-glandular-ciliate or glands sessile, obconic to globose; laminar glands pale, linear to punctiform, not prominent. Petals pale yellow, not tinged red, 5–9 × 3–4 mm, 2.5–3 sepals, narrowly elliptic; marginal glands black, single, apical, on cilium or usually absent; laminar glands pale, striiform to punctiform. Stamens c. 35–45, longest 6–8 mm; filaments yellow. Ovary c. 2 × 2 mm, ovoid; styles c. 3 mm, 1.5 × ovary. Capsule 4–9 × c. 3-5 mm, ovoid. Seeds not seen.
