DIAGNOSTIC DESCRIPTION
Shrublet, 0.02–0.1 m long, glabrous, with stems ascending, rooting, much branched. Stems filiform, fragile, not or little branched above; internodes 2–5 mm, shorter than leaves. Leaves very shortly (c. 0.25 mm) petiolate, glaucous beneath, 3–9 × 3–7 mm, ovate to obovate, apex obtuse, margin plane to recurved, not indurated, base rounded, with 2 pairs of ascending lateral veins; laminar glands pale, dense; intramarginal glands pale, dense and (1–)2–5 black, apical, small. Inflorescence 1–6-flowered, from one node, corymbiform; bracts and bracteoles minute, oblong, black-glandular-ciliate. Flowers c. 8 mm in diam., petals erect after flowering; buds globose, rounded. Sepals equal?, 1.6–3 × 1–1.7 mm, oblong or elliptic-oblong to spathulate; margin black-glandular-denticulate; laminar glands pale, linear. Petals 4–7 × 2.5 mm, 2.5 × sepals; marginal glands 1–5, black, apical, on cilia; laminar glands pale, striiform. Stamens ?, longest c. 5 mm, 0.8 × petals; filaments yellow. Ovary not seen. Capsule 2.5–3.5 mm long. Seeds ‘pale, very elongated, almost smooth’ (fide Stef., 1931).
