Stem internodes obscurely 2–4-lined above or wholly terete, eglandular (sometimes except 39. H. nikkoense). Leaves with laminar glands all black to all pale, punctiform, or absent. Petals with laminar glands all pale to all black, linear to punctiform; marginal glands immersed to prominent or on cilia or absent. Capsule longitudinally vittate, the vittae pale. Seeds scalariform-reticulate to linear-foveolate.
