Hypericum marginatum (Nomenclature)
Perennial herb, 0.07–0.1 m long, glabrous, with stems ascending to prostrate and branching from suffrutescent base. Stems 2-lined to terete, very slender, glaucous; internodes 2–4 mm, shorter than leaves. Leaves c. 0.5 mm petiolate, coriaceous, glaucous, 3–6 × 2.5–5 mm, broadly oblong to circular, apex rounded, margin indurated; lateral veins not visible; laminar glands pale, very small, punctiform to slightly elongate; intramarginal glands pale, dense. Inflorescence 1-9-flowered from 1-3 nodes, corymbiform to subglobose, dense; bracts and bracteoles oblong with sessile to subsessile black marginal glands. Flowers c. 10–15 mm in diam.; buds not seen. Sepals equal, free, not imbricate, 3–4 × 1–1.3 mm, narrowly oblong to subspathulate, obtuse; veins 3, not or scarcely prominent, unbranched; margin wholly and densely or irregularly and shortly black-glandular-ciliate or with sessile glands; laminar glands pale, linear. Petals golden? yellow, veined red, 6–9(–12) × 3–3.5 mm, c. 2 × sepals, narrowly oblong; marginal glands absent; laminar glands linear to striiform. Stamens c. 40, longest 5–6 mm, c. 0.6 × petals; filaments yellow. Ovary 2 × 1 mm, narrowly ovoid; styles c. 3 mm, 1.5 × ovary. Capsule (immature) narrowly ovoid. Seeds not seen.

Hypericum marginatum resembles a small version of 24. pumilio, but the leaves lack a terminal black gland.
