Hypericum pseudorepens (Nomenclature)
Perennial herb, 0.26 m tall, glabrous, wholly erect or with stems shortly creeping at base, with short axillary shoots from all nodes below inflorescence. Stem shallowly 2(4)-lined below nodes, otherwise usually terete, green, with very few punctiform or elongate and raised reddish glands; internodes 20–55 mm, equalling or exceeding leaves. Leaves sessile or to 0.5 mm petiolate, paler beneath not glaucous, 25–30 × 5–7 mm, ± narrowly elliptic, apex acute to obtuse, margin revolute, base narrowly cuneate, with 3 pairs of ascending lateral veins; laminar glands pale, punctiform, dense and subapical paired, reddish, small; intramarginal glands pale, small, spaced; leaves on axillary shoots smaller. Inflorescence 15–22-flowered, from 2–5 nodes, narrowly interrupted-cylindric, 9–10 mm long, with lateral cymules 1–5 flowered, without flowering branches below; bracts and bracteoles elliptic, entire. Flowers c. 20 mm in diam., petals erect after flowering; buds ovoid-ellipsoid, subacute. Sepals unequal, free, slightly imbricate, 4–5(–7) × 1.5–2 mm, narrowly oblong to elliptic-oblong, apiculate oblong to subobtuse; veins 5, outer sometimes branching, not prominent; margin entire or rarely with few black-glands, sessile or on cilia; laminar glands pale, linear to striiform, rarely with 1-3 punctiform submarginal black glands. Petals pale yellow, tinged red, 10–11 × 4 mm, 2–2.5 × sepals, oblong-oblanceolate; marginal glands black, distal (apical and outer margin), small, on cilia; laminar glands pale, linear to striiform or rarely punctiform. Stamens c. 25?, details not seen; filaments yellow. Ovary 4 × 2 mm, narrowly ovoid; styles 4 mm, equalling ovary. Capsule and Seeds not seen.
Igneous slopes; 2200 m.

The type and so far only collection of H. pseudorepens has hitherto been included in 10. H. linarioides (H. repens sensu Jaub. & Spach, non L.) but clearly represents a distinct species. It differs from the latter in its longer broader leaves, which are elliptic and ± acute, not oblong-elliptic to linear and subapiculate to rounded.
