Hypericum vaccinioides (Nomenclature)
Dwarf shrub, 0.12–0.17 m tall, glabrous, with stems erect from woody branching base, caespitose, not creeping or rooting, without axillary shoots. Stem 4-lined at first, soon 2-lined to terete, green, eglandular; internodes 4–16 mm, shorter than to exceeding leaves. Leaves c. 0.5 mm petiolate, paler but not glaucous beneath, chartaceous, 6–12 × 3–6 mm, elliptic to narrowly oblong, apex rounded, margin subrecurved, base cuneate, with 1-2 pairs of ascending lateral veins; laminar glands pale, punctiform, dense, small; intramarginal glands pale, small, dense. Inflorescence 3–8-flowered, from 1–2 nodes, subcorymbiform, rather lax, 2–3.5 mm long, with lateral branches curved-ascending, ‘cymules’ 1-flowered, without flowering branches below; bracts and bracteoles black-gland-fringed. Flowers (only old seen). Sepals equal, 1/3–2/5 united, not imbricate, c. 3.5–4 × 2 mm, triangular-ovate to oblong, rounded; veins 3, not branching, prominent; margin distally shortly and densely black-glandular-denticulate with glands ellipsoid; laminar glands pale, linear. Petals and Stamens faded. Ovary not seen. Capsule 8–9 × 5–6 mm, ovoid. Seeds not seen.

Hypericum vaccinioides resembles a smaller version of 16. theodori, which, despite the disjunction in area between south-eastern Azerbaijan and Maraş, would appear to be its nearest relative.
