Hypericum minutum (Nomenclature)
Perennial herb 0.015-0.025 m tall, glabrous, with stems caespitose, ascending from taproot, unbranched below inflorescence [ch]. Stems slender, 2-lined above, terete below, brittle, eglandular; internodes. Leaves 0.5 mm petiolate, spreading; lamina 4-5 ´ 4 mm, broadly ovate to circular, glaucous,;apex obtuse to rounded, margin, base rounded to subcordate; venation: 1(2) pairs laterals ascending from near base of midrib; laminar glands rather sparse, all pale to mostly black; intramarginal glands black, rather dense. Inflorescence 1-3-flowered, from apical node; bracteoles black-glandular-denticulate to shortly -ciliate. Flowers c. 7-8 mm in diam.; buds. Sepals 1.5-3 ´ 1-1.5 mm, unequal, free, elliptic-oblong to narrowly oblong, obtuse to rounded, margin irregularly ciliate to subentire; veins 1-3, unbranched; laminar glands pale and black, striiform to punctiform; marginal glands black. Petals yellow, not red-tinged, 4-7 ´ 1-2 mm, oblong; laminar glands amber, numerous to almost absent; marginal glands black, distal, sessile or immersed. Stamens few?, longest c. 4-5 mm. Ovary not seen; styles c. 1 mm long. Capsule c. 3 ´ 2 mm, ellipsoid; valves with narrow ± interrupted vittae. Seeds not seen.

H. minutum resembles a small H. sechmenii but has spreading, not imbricate leaves, and the sepals are always rounded with an irregularly ciliate to subentire margin.
