DIAGNOSTIC DESCRIPTION
Stems 0.1–1 m tall, solitary or rarely 2–3 and loosely caespitose. Leaves (12–)30–60 × (5–)8–25(–30) mm, ovate-oblong to oblong-lanceolate or linear-oblong, apex acute or attenuate to rounded or slightly emarginate; laminar glands all black, punctiform or rarely also pale and minute. Sepals equal, ovate to oblong or linear-oblong, attenuate and acute to rounded, entire or rarely glandular-papillose; laminar glands all black or rarely also pale, minute. Petals 7–9 mm long; laminar glands black. Ovary 2.5–3.5 mm long; styles 3.2–4 mm and longer or sometimes shorter than ovary. Capsule 5–11 mm long. Seeds 0.67–1 mm.
